How bi-folds differ from sliders
A bi-fold clears almost the full opening because the panels fold away rather than sliding behind a fixed pane. The trade-off is a stack of folded panels that needs somewhere to sit, and more frame visible when the doors are closed. If an uninterrupted view when closed matters most, a slider may suit better.
Getting the stack and swing right
The number of panels, which way they fold and where the traffic door sits all change how the space works. We plan the fold direction around furniture, prevailing wind and the step so the doors are pleasant to use every day, not just impressive on opening day.

Most of it, the panels fold and stack to the side, leaving a near-full-width opening. Exactly how much depends on panel count and the stacking side, which we plan with you.
They concertina to one or both jambs. You need a little clear wall or reveal for the stack, which we account for in the design.
Low-profile thresholds are possible with the right floor preparation and drainage. There is a balance between step-free access and weather resistance, which we detail per opening.
