Window tinting

Take the edge off the sun. Solar-control window film cuts glare and heat gain and adds daytime privacy, while safety film helps hold glass together, applied to existing windows.

Is this for you?

  • A room gets too much glare or heat through the glass.
  • You want daytime privacy on ground-floor or street-facing windows.
  • You want safety film to help hold glass together if it breaks.

Options & configurations

Solar-control film

Reduce glare and solar heat gain through the glass.

Privacy / reflective film

Daytime one-way-effect privacy for exposed rooms.

Safety / security film

Film that helps hold glass fragments together on breakage.

What tinting can and cannot do

Solar film genuinely reduces glare and a portion of solar heat coming through the glass, which can make a hot, bright room more comfortable. It is not air-conditioning and the exact reduction depends on the film, the glass and the exposure, so we describe the effect honestly rather than promising a temperature drop.

Privacy and safety films

Reflective films give a daytime privacy effect from outside; the effect reverses at night when interior lights are on. Safety film helps hold broken glass together, which can matter for large panes and low-level glazing. We match the film to your actual goal.

Frequently asked questions

It reduces glare and a share of solar heat gain through the glass, which helps comfort, but it is not air-conditioning. We describe the realistic effect for your windows rather than promising a specific temperature.

The daytime privacy effect reverses at night when the room is lit and it is dark outside. We factor that into what we recommend.

Safety film helps hold fragments together on breakage; it is not shatterproofing, but it reduces loose shards. We advise where it is worthwhile.
