Spider façade

Glass held at the corners, not framed all round. Point-fixed spider glazing uses discreet fittings to carry large panes with the least visible structure, for entrances, atria and shopfronts that feel almost frameless.

Is this for you?

  • You want a near-frameless glazed entrance, atrium or shopfront.
  • You want maximum transparency with the least visible framing.
  • You are a contractor or consultant specifying a feature glass elevation.

Options & configurations

Spider-fitting glazing

Stainless point fittings that hold glass at the corners.

Entrances & shopfronts

Feature glazed entrances and street-facing elevations.

Atria & double-height glass

Large, tall glazed areas with minimal structure.

Safety glass options

Toughened and laminated glass specified for the application.

Minimal structure, maximum glass

Instead of a frame around every pane, spider fittings carry the glass at discrete points, often back to slim fins or a support structure. The result is a very transparent elevation. Because the glass does the visual work, the type and fixing are specified carefully and verified for the application.

Specified and verified for the job

Point-fixed glass is a considered, safety-critical assembly. We specify toughened or laminated glass to suit the span and use, and confirm the structure, fixings and glass on site rather than making generic performance claims.

What affects the cost

We don't publish invented prices. These are the honest factors that shape a made-to-measure quote:

Glass area & pane sizeLarger, heavier panes need more capable fittings and support.
Support structureFins, trusses or brackets behind the glass affect scope.
Glass specificationToughened and laminated safety glass to suit the application.
Access & heightInstalling large panes at height needs access and handling equipment.

Yes, when specified correctly. We use toughened or laminated safety glass suited to the span and use, and confirm the fittings and structure for the job rather than quoting generic figures.
